I Love You — Fuck Off

In context

The work is built as a dense textual field where repetition becomes structure. Across the surface, the phrase “vaffanculo” appears in multiple languages, distributed in black typography without hierarchy or decoration. The result is not expressive in a traditional sense, but accumulative: a global chorus of rejection, frustration, and verbal pressure that flattens into a single continuous noise. Within this saturation, a small counterpoint appears in the lower right corner: the words “I love you,” isolated, lighter in weight, subtly oriented toward the right as if moving beyond the composition itself. This shift in placement and direction introduces a different temporal and emotional register—not as resolution, but as divergence. The contrast does not function as a simple opposition between hate and love. Instead, it produces a structural imbalance: one language expands horizontally and aggressively, the other withdraws into a minimal gesture of direction and escape. Meaning emerges from scale, density, and positioning rather than from semantics alone. What the work stages is not reconciliation but coexistence under pressure. Emotional states are not separated; they are layered within the same visual system until they become spatial conditions. Rage becomes environment, while affection becomes deviation. The ambiguity remains unresolved. The viewer is left between reading the piece as social exhaustion, linguistic overload, or a fragile attempt at persistence within it.
