I was born in Latina and am based in Rome. I am an Italian writer, poet, visual artist and photographer, and the creator of the music project DERESPIRE. My background in engineering and computing sits alongside a creative practice built around observation, precision and the search for essential forms.

My writing moves between poetry, historical fiction and speculative narratives. My poetry collection Tra le cose che non sembrano poesia is also available in English as Among Things That Don’t Seem To Be Poetry. I return to ordinary gestures, memory and the things we struggle to name, looking for the moment when an everyday experience opens onto something less visible.

In my visual work, geometry becomes a way to question space, balance, presence and absence. Series such as The Twelve Verbs (I Dodici Verbi) and Impossible Architectures (Architetture Impossibili) explore how an opening, an interrupted structure or an unexpected relationship between forms can change our perception.

Photography carries this attention into the streets. I am drawn to details that a passing glance may miss: a small figure on a facade, the shape of a shadow, a quiet presence within the city. The photograph gives these fragments space and time to be seen.

With DERESPIRE, I bring my writing into music, working with electronic sound, atmosphere, rhythm and voice. All song lyrics are written by me. In many tracks, I have used AI to generate the vocals and music. The songs approach emotion through words, repetition and the spaces between sounds.

A single idea runs through this work: “Taking away is adding.” I look for what remains when the unnecessary falls away, and for how much a word, an image or a sound can hold.
