In context

The work originates from the direct observation of a rhinoceros, focusing on the head as the central subject. Rather than aiming for a realistic representation, the form is intentionally broken down into geometric fragments, revealing an underlying structural logic. Through this process of decomposition, the mass and strength of the animal are reinterpreted as a system of planes, tensions, and directional forces. The recognizable features of the rhinoceros emerge and dissolve simultaneously, creating a balance between figuration and abstraction. The result is not a depiction of the animal itself, but an exploration of its inner architecture—where perception is fragmented and reconstructed into a new visual order.
