Traccia di presenza
A radical act of reduction that transforms the figure into a visual principle.
At the center of an absolute white field, a single continuous black line does not depict a body but preserves its internal tension: an unfinished arc suspended between gesture and restraint.
The figure of Artemis is not evoked through mythological narrative but through three essential formal conditions: curvature as a moon-like presence without sky, tension as restrained force before action, and emptiness not as background but as an active component of the composition.
Three minimal, barely perceptible marks interrupt the surface—not decoration, but residual traces, hints of passage or an event that never fully occurs. The work occupies a liminal space between control and escape, presence and withdrawal, where the figure is never shown but continuously evades fixation.
