A Room with Four Floors
2026
A room usually establishes one unquestioned direction: the floor defines below, and everything else follows. Here, four surfaces claim that role at the same time. Identical objects are oriented towards different planes, giving each wall the visual authority of a ground. The architecture remains simple, but the body can no longer decide where gravity belongs. The work turns orientation into a matter of interpretation. As every surface becomes a possible floor, the room no longer contains a stable viewpoint; it asks the viewer to inhabit several versions of below at once.
