To Welcome
2026
The Void That Receives To Welcome explores the value of open space. Within a brutalist geometric structure, the void becomes the central presence. Matter creates an opening capable of receiving light, movement and life. After the journey of the series, the form discovers that its strength lies both in solidity and in the capacity to leave room. Concrete, apparently rigid and impenetrable, becomes a meeting place. Architecture enters into a relationship with the world around it. To welcome is to make space and recognise the value of the void. What we allow to enter can transform the form we have built. “To welcome is to open a space where something new can exist.”
