The cycle continues
Twelve actions of matter. Twelve reflections on being human, expressed through geometry, space and silence. The Twelve Verbs follows a form as it learns to exist in relation to the world. Masses emerge, cross, support and shelter. They establish boundaries, change direction, wait and endure. They yield, reassemble and open themselves to what may come. Brutalist geometry gives each action a physical presence. Concrete carries weight and memory; light reveals a passage or an opening; the surrounding void becomes an active part of the work. Through a restrained vocabulary, the series turns architectural relationships into human questions: what sustains us, what defines us, and what allows us to change? The sequence has a circular structure. In To Emerge, the form begins to appear. In To Become, it continues to come into being. The final work returns to the monolith of the first, now transformed into an open process. Completion leaves room for another beginning. To emerge is to exist. To cross is to discover. To support is to grow. To safeguard is to protect. To separate is to recognise oneself. To deviate is to choose. To wait is to mature. To resist is to continue. To yield is to transform. To recompose is to begin again. To welcome is to open oneself. To become is to continue the journey.
